11 New Breweries Recruited to Work with Kernza + New Kernza Beer with 100% Regenerative Ingredients
Patagonia Provisions is partnering with an additional 11 breweries across the US to release the next batch of Kernza® lagers this Earth Month. The innovation from this new cohort will build on the pilot project launched in June 2023 that featured the first round of breweries working with Kernza perennial grain, many of whom continue to produce Kernza lager in their taprooms and in 6-pack cans.

Patagonia Provisions is also working with Washington-based Aslan Brewing, who participated in the Kernza lager pilot project, to release the “World’s First Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC) Beer.” This IPA, made with ROC Kernza and other ingredients, will be the first-ever beer made with 100% regeneratively produced ingredients (aligned with Regenerative Organic Alliance practices). The beer will be released this Friday, April 19th, at all Aslan Brewing locations to celebrate Earth Day.
