New Kernza Video from US Nature4Climate, Perennial Pantry & The Land Institute
The Land Institute and the Perennial Pantry are featured in a new video and article in partnership US Nature4Climate, a coalition of ten conservation, environmental, and sustainable organizations dedicated to ensuring our forests, farms, ranches, grasslands, and wetlands are an important part of the overall strategy to combat climate change. The video tells the story of why Kernza perennial grain is an important new crop on the landscape for the future of food and the planet, featuring Christopher Abbott of the Perennial Pantry and Lee DeHaan, lead Kernza perennial grain breeder at The Land Institute. The companion article discusses why Kernza is capturing the imaginations of farmers, food producers, and eaters, as well as those concerned about climate change, and was co-authored by Tim Crews, Chief Scientist, and Tammy Kimbler, Director of Communications at The Land Institute
