New Research on Mechanical Termination of Kernza and Impacts on Soil Structure & Carbon

Researchers from the University of Minnesota and The Ohio State University released a paper documenting the impacts of mechanical termination of Kernza stands on soil structure, soil carbon stocks, and soil CO2. This research provides new information about how the perennial grain crop can be terminated for subsequent annual crop production in rotations that enhance agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability.
